COOPERATION BETWEEN INDUSTRY AND UNIVERSITY

The University has established cooperative relationships with many public and private enterprises. By the end of year 2003, 159 projects had been generated between the University and enterprises and the research fund had amounted to more than NT$80,000,000. Summer tours for the faculty members to those enterprises are regularly scheduled to strengthen mutual understanding and enhance their practical experiences.
With the sound instruments and equipments, the University also provides various kinds of technical services and materials testing to the enterprises. The technical services offered by the University include conducting research projects, holding seminars, offering training courses, and the services demanded by the Ministery of Education. The University’s faculty members are often invited by the enterprises to make speeches and entrusted by the Ministry of Economics to evaluate the qualification of monopoly rights claimed by the enterprises as well. In addition, they accept the request of the enterprises to conduct special case studies, provide professional advice, write examination questions, grade examination papers, and develop evaluation systems.
